For Babel, Blockchain is a unique, consensual record of information distributed across several nodes in a network. The generation, distribution and consumption of digital content that is easily replicable by applying Blockchain architectures and consumption models enables organisations to create unique assets that can be traced by guaranteeing their source and security.

Blockchain is a digital transaction record. These blockchains are used to record the transactions made. Each transaction added to a blockchain is validated by several nodes in their network. These nodes work together to make sure that each transaction is validated before it is added to the blockchain, ensuring that no one can add invalid information to the blocks in the network.
When a new block is added to a blockchain, it is linked to the previous block by way of a cryptographic hash generated using the contents of the block. This ensures that the chain never breaks and that each block is permanently recorded.
