Digital Workplace
More than a technology, Digital Workplace is a new work environment in which most business functions have been digitalized and consumption models have changed.
From the communications aspects to the administration of tasks, everything is carried out within a digital environment. It is a workspace that uses technology to improve communication between employees, enabling smoother collaboration and communication of information. In the new post-Covid Digital Workplace, workers can work outside the office, establishing a common place where everyone has access to share their work, tasks, processes and information.
Data from our latest hybrid employment research shows that: Seventy-three percent of employees say they want flexible remote work options to remain, and over 80 percent of leaders say they expect to make significant changes in order to adapt. At the same time, 67% of employees want more face-to-face collaboration at work. Not only that, but over 40 per cent of employees are considering leaving their employer as they emerge from the pandemic, in a phenomenon now known as the Great Reorganisation. As companies adapt to hybrid work environments and reopen their physical offices, there is a renewed focus on the employee experience and making sure people are at the centre. This will require a complete organisational change that encompasses the physical environment and office spaces, culture and talent, as well as technology.
There is a new conception of DWP with “employee engagement” as the main agent to execute and achieve any business strategy. According to studies, employee engagement is considered to be the main agent for executing and achieving any business strategy. Having “engaged” employees is considered a key competitive advantage for an organisation and the strategy to achieve this is “The empowered Employee”
Leaders realise the importance of putting people first, but it has been a challenge to create a great employee experience when people feel disconnected, work demands have increased, employee wellbeing has declined and leaders are struggling to equip employees with the skills and tools needed to drive growth.
The good news is that when companies invest in their people and employee experience, they can directly affect engagement, customer satisfaction, retention and profitability.
