The future of retail: Coca-Cola’s sustainable innovation.

Interview with David Marimón, VP, CIO Iberia Coca Cola Europacific Partners & IT Head Customer Service & Supply Chain

For Coca Cola, sustainability is something that is in their DNA, something that David makes very clear to us with several projects they are currently involved in. The retail industry has historically been at the forefront of technology, even today where changes are more exponential than ever.

One of their most important challenges is to be carbon neutral by 2040, a goal for which they are already taking steps that would be unthinkable without technology. Such frenetic changes in technology imply structural changes in corporations, one of the most important of which is employee training.

A clear example of this is Artificial Intelligence, which provides us with an unprecedented volume of information. Thanks to this, milestones are achieved such as getting closer to consumers or preventing accidents in the production chain.

The revolution in water consumption through transversal measures for farmers and machinery or the implementation of sensors to optimise energy in factories are some of the vital actions for the planet. We tell you about this and much more in this new Tech for Good.
