The ITURRI Group is a company that focuses on comprehensive safety and protection, considering people, processes, goods and the environment. It therefore provides its customers with technical clothing and fire-fighting vehicles.
Knowledge of its customers enables it to offer custom solutions, adapting to the situation of the sector and country of its customers.
To integrate local and foreign information on a common platform
The implementation of the company’s new ERP has provided a significant leap in technology. However, this evolution was not fully reflected in terms of the availability of data through the organisation and the ability to extract value from it.
In response to this, non-consolidated information operating tools and techniques have come about at departmental level, which are relatively inefficient and not aligned with company strategy. All this leads to a decrease in confidence regarding the reporting generated, and problems when tracing the data to its source.
We assist our client in defining a common business intelligence architecture for the entire organisation
The current situation required a company-wide cross-cutting strategy in terms of the use of business intelligence. From a practical viewpoint, this involved several stages: identification of the relevant data in the ERP, defining of a datawarehouse model that stores this information, processes for extracting and transforming the data from the ERP to the datawarehouse and, finally, implementation of a visual tool that allows information to be used through dashboards and reports.
In addition, as a relevant aspect, we formed part of the process of selecting technological tools in line with premises such as scalability (ease of growth), availability (reduction of platform failures), payment for use and, finally, the fact that this was a cloud solution.
A comprehensive BI solution that gives a unique vision for the entire organisation
The result of this process was the selection of a comprehensive cloud solution, based on Microsoft technology, gathering all the tools required by ITURRI: storage, ETL tools and operating tools. This solution also allowed for integration with other existing Microsoft tools in the organisation. This project provides a common, scalable architecture that also offers self-service BI capabilities to users to extract as much value as possible from the data.
