Babel, SEO BirdLife and Ecoembes: moving forward together for our environment.

At Babel, we believe that technology is a means, not an end. Its true value lies in its ability to transform realities, open up opportunities and improve lives. That is why our commitment to positive impact starts from within, with a focus on concrete actions that reflect our values and vision for the future.

As part of this commitment, we recently joined the environmental volunteering programme run by SEO Birdlife and Ecoembes through the Proyecto Libera: an initiative that carries out activities aimed at promoting cultural change in the fight against “littering”, a term that describes waste generated by humans and left in natural environments, causing significant damage to biodiversity and ecosystems.

These include public awareness campaigns, prevention through educational training, specific workshops and training days aimed at companies, schools and society in general. It also generates and disseminates knowledge through detailed reports on this issue, analysing its impact on different ecosystems and offering solutions based on scientific evidence. These outreach and training activities are essential for understanding the problem in depth and promoting responsible behaviour in the long term.

As a member organisation, we have joined with the determination to make a real and concrete positive impact. That is why we have already participated in ‘1m² against Litter’, an activity whose main objective was to raise awareness and take direct action on the ground. Over two hours, our team collected more than 100 kg of waste, thus making a tangible contribution to improving the natural environment and demonstrating our social and environmental responsibility. In addition, our employees had the opportunity to raise their awareness and learn more about how small actions can make a big difference.

This first experience may be the start of future outreach and education activities and campaigns. Because at Babel, we firmly believe that every action counts. We are committed to purposeful innovation, to diverse environments where every voice matters, and to decisions that generate real value for both society and our planet. That is why we will continue to promote active participation in initiatives such as the Libera Project; because we don’t just want to move forward; we want to move forward well, and we want that progress to be noticed, both within Babel and in the communities and environments around us.
