  • This collaboration represents a significant step in Babel’s strong commitment to Generative Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing its position as a key strategic player in this field.
  • Artificial Intelligence is consolidating its position as the transformative axis that will set Babel apart, scaling up its capabilities and accelerating digital transformation for its clients.

Babel, a Spanish multinational technology company specialising in digital transformation, has unveiled its digital acceleration strategy for 2025 with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence. This plan will serve as a key pillar in achieving the objectives of its strategic plan ‘Hyperspace 2029’. Babel is collaborating with OpenAI to integrate its technology as the basis of a multi-tool strategy in which, together with top-tier partners, Babel will reach a level of maturity aligned with the new chapter that begins with the entry of Mubadala Capital as a majority partner earlier this year.

Babel, which already has a strong track record in AI projects, will approach Generative Artificial Intelligence from a holistic and global perspective, impacting all aspects of the company’s activities. AI will thus become a transformative axis, influencing how Babel operates, organizes itself, serves its customers, and manages workflows, ultimately adding value for all its stakeholders.

By 2027, AI adoption will be widespread. “Companies that have not assimilated its application will no longer be able to keep up,” says Luis Barreiro, Babel’s Corporate Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Exponential Technologies. “After a year of work by the Transformation Office – created to analyse AI’s applicability – we are now in a position to be the catalysts our clients need, scaling our capabilities to fully exploit our competitive advantage: doing things differently.” Barreiro adds, “AI will benefit both our employees and our clients, helping them maximize their potential and reinforcing our position as strategic allies in their growth. To be competitive, it is key to have a clear plan and focus. Our commitment to consolidating AI at Babel is not only technological; it is strategic.”

Nicolai Skabo, Go-To-Market Leader for EMEA at OpenAI, says: ‘AI has the potential not only to transform the way Babel works with its customers, but also to boost productivity and innovation within the company. Babel’s ambition to achieve a new way of working driven by AI is impressive, and we are excited to work with them on integrating AI into their organisation.’

The technology company presented this plan on 31st January in Madrid, at an event held at its headquarters, attended by the Babel executive team and representatives from Mubadala Capital and OpenAI.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Babel’s increased scalability and ability to approach projects with a unique vision will be crucial in taking on larger initiatives and positioning itself alongside major players in the technology market. “The consolidation of AI in our business is not just another project; it is an evolution that enables us to do more things differently, with new profiles and greater impact,” explained Luis Barreiro, Babel’s Corporate Director of Strategy, Innovation and Exponential Technologies.

Commitment to innovation and cultural change: towards a new way of working

Babel’s commitment to AI will not only redefine how it operates with clients but will also transform the way its nearly 3,200 employees engage with their daily tasks, equipping them with new skills and tools to develop their careers in alignment with the company’s growth.

According to Barreiro, “Our goal is to mature as a company because maturity is what will allow us to scale and grow without compromising service quality. This means changing how we work, guiding employees toward strategic tasks, and developing new capabilities—all while maintaining our commitment to differentiation and competitiveness in a constantly evolving global environment.”

Thanks to artificial intelligence tools, teams will be able to focus on high-impact activities, reinforcing their professional development while ensuring long-term stability and opportunities. Additionally, Babel takes on the responsibility of ensuring that AI adoption is ethical, safe, and sustainable.
