Babel Opens Its New Office at Sevilla TechPark and Strengthens Its Commitment to Andalusia with a New Technology Lab

The new office features a Smart Lab specialising in IoT and industrial cybersecurity

Babel, the Spanish-born multinational technology company specialising in digital transformation, has opened its new offices at Sevilla TechPark, strengthening its commitment to Andalusia as one of the key regions for its growth.

The company is embarking on a new chapter in Seville, expanding its presence through the launch of its Smart Lab: a technology laboratory aimed at driving the development of IoT and industrial cybersecurity solutions throughout their entire lifecycle from the Andalusian region.

Having increased its client base in the region by 200% in recent years, Babel has experienced strong growth in the city, where it already had an established office and projects with major organisations operating locally.

The choice of Sevilla TechPark reflects its position as one of Southern Europe’s leading innovation ecosystems, bringing together companies, public institutions and technology centres around projects linked to digitalisation and sustainability.

The new location also strengthens Babel’s proximity to the organisations it already serves, enabling closer collaboration and the joint development of technology initiatives with a direct business impact.

“With this opening, we are continuing to advance our commitment to Andalusia by investing in talent development and in building technological capabilities from the region,” says Jesús Marco, Country Manager of Babel Spain.

The new Babel Smart Lab will enable the development and evolution of technology solutions in a specialised environment, allowing projects conceived in Seville to scale nationally. The space has been designed to support the growth of new capabilities in connected technologies, which are increasingly relevant in sectors such as industry, energy and public services.

“The Smart Lab allows us to strengthen Seville’s role within Babel, not only as an operational hub but also as a place from which to develop technology solutions with an impact beyond the region,” says Antonio Marín, Head of Babel’s Seville office.

The new headquarters highlights talent as one of the pillars of Babel’s growth in Andalusia, where the company currently employs nearly 700 professionals. The Smart Lab is supported by a specialised team of more than 70 professionals associated with the laboratory, who play a key role in the development of IoT and industrial cybersecurity solutions, as well as in the evolution of new technological capabilities from the region.

The company also highlights the high level of specialisation and digital skills of its Seville-based team, which is already involved in projects for both local clients and organisations in other markets where Babel operates, thereby extending the reach of the capabilities developed in the region.

With this move, Babel contributes to the development of Sevilla TechPark’s technology ecosystem, aligning with initiatives that seek to position Seville as a benchmark for innovation, sustainability and digitalisation.
