Babel has collaborated with the Asturias Regional Health Service (SESPA) on an innovative artificial intelligence-assisted teledermatology project, designed to streamline clinical diagnosis and improve the quality of primary care.
The project, divided into two lots, has enabled the implementation of a new digital teledermatology circuit that optimises communication between primary care professionals and hospital dermatology services.
In the lot led by Babel, the company has developed an application that combines advanced technology and artificial intelligence with a user experience tailored to healthcare personnel, reinforcing the integration of innovation in the clinical environment. The application supports the entire workflow, from the capture and validation of dermatological images to integration with SESPA clinical systems.
Thanks to this tool, professionals can capture images securely and easily and immediately receive a report with results analysed by artificial intelligence, which serves as guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of dermatological lesions.
The solution enables faster and more accurate diagnoses, reduces unnecessary referrals, speeds up treatments and improves care coordination between primary care and dermatology services, bringing innovation to every health centre.
This project reflects Babel’s commitment to the digital transformation of the healthcare sector, putting AI at the service of professionals and patients.
